Steamed Pudding 


You will Need:

1 cup boiling water

1 cup chopped raisins

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 and 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup molasses

1 egg


Step One - Grease a 6 cup mold generously.


Step Two - Pour boiling water over raisins. Add butter or margarine. Add the remaining ingredients.


Step Three - Pour mixture into mold. Cover with aluminum foil.


Step Four - Place mold in a Dutch oven. Fill the oven halfway with boiling water. Keep pudding in boiling water on low heat for 2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean. Remove from Dutch oven and let stand 5 minutes. Unmold carefully.


Step Five - Serve with hard sauce. Enjoy!


Hard Sauce


You will Need:

1 stick of butter or margarine, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla


To Make - Beat all of the ingredients together. Refrigerate 1 hour.
